Due to destruction of the last world war, WWII, there has been a significant amount of focus concerning the destruction of whole populations of nations, racial and religious groups. It is well known that during world war 2 the German’s plan was to exterminate the Poles, Russian, and that of which they were most successful at; the Jews. They also made clear that they intended to achieve success through changing the political and demographic interrelationships in Europe to favor Germany. In order to do this they planned to demographically and culturally destroy the French element in Alsace-Lorraine, the Slovenians in Carniola and Carithia.
Obviously the revolting event of WWII has left the most impact on society thus far, in terms of destruction of whole populations. The heartbreaking fact is there are hundreds of equally horrifying examples of the destructions of populations. A couple of examples are the “destruction of Carthage; that of religious groups in the wars of Islam and the Crusades; the massacres of the Albigenses and the Waldenses; and more recently, the massacre of the Armenians. “ The list continues with genocides in Rwanda, Cambodia, Naking china, and so many more. An even scarier fact that was until recently the destruction of population was not even characterized as a crime. Winston Churchill said in his broadcast of august 1941, “ We are presence of a crime without a name. As of now it is referred to as Genocide
