Cause of Darfur Crisis

The Darfur Crisis begins in the arid and impoverished regions early in 2003 after some rebel groups began attacking government targets, saying the region was being neglected by Khartoum. The rebels accused the government of oppressing the black in favor of the Arabs
The two main rebel groups are the Sudan Liberation Army and the Justice and Equality movement
As of now the Janjaweed with the government have allied again the rebel groups and are oppressing the blacks
